Comment Le Zebre and others: no proof or documentation was ever presented at the time of the last sale of the car. Why would Alpina build an e9 to B6 spec before the B6 was ever even developed? In 1976 there was no B6. There were no B6 2.8 badges. Without any documentation this is hard to believe. Too many incorrect parts for a car supposedly built by Alpina in 1976 2018: seller description: he only Alpina 2800CS - B6 ever built.
This Alpina was built by the team of Alpinas founder Mr. Bovensiepen for one of his close friends who has kept him all his life. The car was bought by its first and only owner - a dentist from Rüsselsheim - as 2800 CS on March 12, 1970 at BMW in Nauheim. The new car bill over 18,865.21 DM is present, as well as all bills from this period. In 1976, the car was then rebuilt at Alpina to the only ever built Alpina E9 - B6. At the time, Alpina was not yet a manufacturer but converted vehicles supplied by BMW. The invoices from Alpina are also available in the original. The cost amounted to 23962,10 DM. More than the former purchase price of the base vehicle! Driving Alpina has always been very exclusive! When the car was delivered, it was also always waited at the Alpina factory during the 73,000 km that it has run to date. All Alpina bills, manuals and the original BMW order form and the bills from BMW (Alpina was not yet a manufacturer) and Alpina are available. Unique is the use of a Zenith injection in this type of vehicle. This was completely overhauled by a former master of Pierburg / Zenith. The technology has been redesigned maintaining the original livery and interior patina to send the driver back into the '70s environment and enjoy the driving experience. The original Recaro seats are perfect. The car has power windows, the Alpina sports steering wheel and the original and complete tool set. It is a very unique BMW Alpina model with only one bracket, reflecting the origin of the collaboration between the two brands. The models of the BMW E9 series are in demand today like never before. The prices of the CSL have gone through the roof. This vehicle is rarer than a CSL and offers its sportiness and performance. One thing is also certain - a second time you will not get such a vehicle anymore!
